Join us for a free, interactive open house to celebrate National Public Works Week (May 17–23). This year’s theme, Rooted in Service, Powered by Community, demonstrates how the public works professionals at Civic Operations proudly contribute to and enhance the quality of life in our community. Come learn how your city functions!

Civic Operations Centre, 955 Concordia Way (parking and access via Bunker Road) 

This family-friendly event includes activities for all ages and abilities and aims to showcase the important contributions Civic Operations provides in Kamloops through infrastructure, innovation, mobility, and security. 

Free family activities include:

• Tours of the City’s sign shop, greenhouse, and mechanical shop 
• Face painting 
• Planter painting 
• Toilet races!
• Interactive archaeology activity 
• Traffic signal light activity 
• Interactive crane activity
• Rubber ducky races!
• Popcorn and treats for children 
• Complimentary BBQ courtesy of the Kamloops Brock Central Lions Club 

Free parking for attendees will be available off Bunker Road, including accessible parking closer to the event site.
