About Us

What we do

The By-law Enforcement Division work to promote compliance with the by-laws, regulations and programs of the City of Kamloops.

This service is primarily accomplished through our enforcement activity but also includes public relations, education and awareness programs and other iniatives for the following objectives:

• Promote peace and order in the community.
• Promote public safety.
• Enforce rules for use of water, roads and sewers to prevent abuse, overuse, or damage to the systems.
• Enforcement and promotion for safe use of parks, facilities and public property, to reduce liability to the City.
• Support community enhancement.

Our dedicated staff and officers assist many City departments and community partners such as police, social agencies, community groups and other levels of government to promote and maintain Kamloops as a great and safe community to live in and visit.
