COVID-19 Operational Adjustments for City Skating Programs
- Advance registration is required. No drop-ins. Register at Kamloops.ca/PerfectMind
- Masks are REQUIRED to be worn at all times in the off-ice area of the arenas. When patrons are walking to and from the ice with helmets on, they do not need to wear a mask.
- While patrons are on-ice distancing of 3 meters is required
- Spectators are not permitted at this time
- Registration for programs will close 30 minutes prior to the ice time
- Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your scheduled ice time and depart within 10 minutes after your scheduled ice time
- It is recommended that ice users come to the arena dressed ready for ice use and to leave dressed to minimize the amount of time required in the dressing room
- Any latecomers will not be able to gain entry into the building

Skating Program Descriptions
Recreational ice skating for all ages. Children ages seven and under must be accompanied on the ice by an adult wearing skates. Children ages 12 and under are required to wear a helmet; helmets are strongly recommended for youth and adults. No sticks or pucks are permitted. Maximum of 30 participants.
Brock and Valleyview arena are accessible for patrons who require the of use wheelchairs on the ice during public skating sessions. Helmets are mandatory for both the person using the wheelchair and any attendants. Attendants must also wear skates on the ice surface.
For children ages 12 and under to play with their adult guardians. All participants are required to wear a helmet. Children must be accompanied on the ice by an adult. Please bring your own stick and puck. No goalies, slap shots, or scrimmages are permitted. The program is monitored by Skate Patrol. Maximum of 20 participants.
For players 13 years and older. All participants are required to wear a helmet and gloves. Bring your own stick and puck. No goalies, slap shots, or scrimmages are permitted. The program is monitored by Skate Patrol. Maximum of 20 participants.
For players 18 years and older. All participants are required to wear a helmet and gloves. Bring your own stick and puck. No goalies, slap shots, or scrimmages are permitted. The program is monitored by Skate Patrol. Maximum of 20 participants.

Beginner Adult (18+) Drop-in Hockey. This program is geared towards players with a novice or beginner skill level. Self-organized, non-contact program; full gear and helmets are mandatory. The program is not monitored by Skate Patrol. Players are expected to officiate themselves. Maximum of 20 participants. A waiver must be signed prior to entering the program.

This program is geared towards those with an intermediate and above skill level. Self-organized, non-contact program; full gear and helmets are mandatory. The program is not monitored by Skate Patrol. Players are expected to officiate themselves. Maximum of 20 participants. A waiver must be signed prior to entering the program.
*Please note that while this program is geared to a more experienced player, this remains a recreational hockey program and all players on the ice, regardless of level, must feel safe and included in the game.

This program is recreational ice skating for children ages 6 and under. The parent/caregiver is required to accompany and supervise the child on the ice and wear skate. Helmets are mandatory for children and strongly recommended for the parent/caregiver. This program is monitored by Skate Patrol. Maximum 30 participants.
This program is recreational ice skating for families only (children 12 and under). Helmets are required for children and strongly recommended for adults. No sticks or pucks. The parent/guardian must wear skates and accompany child(ren) on the ice. This program is monitored by Skate Patrol. Maximum 30 participants.
