Due to COVID-19, visitors should expect alterations, reductions, or cancellations of KMA programs. Hands–on group activities are not permitted under current COVID-19 safety guidelines. Where possible, programs will be adapted or will migrate to digital formats with appropriate changes to cost.

Walking Tours

Riverside Roots

Join the KMA as we explore the historic roots of Riverside Park.  This walking tour will meet in the Riverside Park Rose Garden and explore the history of the Uji Garden, the Rose Garden, and how the confluence of the rivers has shaped Kamloops. 

Heritage Homes

Join the KMA for an hour long tour as we explore the historic homes of the West End neighbourhood. Enjoy historic homes and the stories behind their architectural details and those who lived there. The walking tour will meet at the Seymour Street entrance to the Museum.

Archival Research Workshop (Adults)

Have you ever wondered how to go about researching at an archives? Join the KMA's archivist to learn about the research resources available at the KMA and the treasures you can discover.

Using Arthur Clemes (a businessman and entrepreneur from Spences Bridge) as a case study to delve into the archives’ collection we will look at a variety of resources held at the KMA to discover more about his life story.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage with the archivist about their own research projects and interests, and brainstorm how to tackle tricky research objectives.
