Archives

The KMA’s Archives preserves and provides access to the records of the activities of Kamloopsians from 1863 to the recent past. It includes a substantial collection of photographs, books, papers, maps and architectural drawings contributed by our community.

Descriptions of some of the collections at the KMA are available on MemoryBC, https://www.memorybc.ca/, the British Columbia Archival Information Network.

KMA Historical Articles Index provides short summaries on a variety of topics related to the history of Kamloops. The Archives has an extensive reference library of Kamloops-related publications as well as microfilm copies of local newspapers including the Kamloops Sentinel (1880-1987), the Kamloops Standard (1897-1924), and the Kamloops Daily News (1963-1993).
