RCMP Online Reporting

Kamloops RCMP requests that citizens refrain from attending the detachment's front counter to report crimes. Please call 250-828-3000 to report a crime. Remember, you can use the Online Reporting Tool to report crimes where there are no suspects or witnesses and no police presence is required. 

You can use the online reporting tool if:

  • you have lost something that costs less than $5000
  • someone has stolen something from you that costs less than $5000
  • someone has vandalized your property or vehicle and it will cost less than $5000 to repair it
  • the crime happened within the jurisdiction of the Kamloops RCMP
  • you want to report a driving complaint that is not in progress; complaints including speeding, distracted driving, or failing to follow road signs or signals
  • your licence plates or decals are lost or stolen

However, there must not be:

  • Any witnesses or suspects
  • Any items lost or stolen over $5,000
  • Any damages over $5,000
  • No items involving personal identity or firearms
