Mon, September 09, 2019 - 8:00 am

Over the next two weeks, crews will be rehabilitating paths, trails, and court surfaces at various parks throughout the city, including McArthur Island, McDonald Park, and sections of the Rivers Trail. During this time, portions of paths, trails, and specific court surfaces will be closed to the public, including:

  • McArthur Island’s west-end path surrounding the disc golf course
  • Rivers Trail from Colombo Lodge to Pioneer Park Boat Launch
  • Rivers Trail from Lorne Street and 10th Avenue to the Kamloops Yacht Club
  • McDonald Park upgrades to the basketball courts and path rehabilitation

The City asks residents to please obey signage while work is underway and thanks the public for their patience. The following maps indicate locations where work will be done.

NEW! The Rivers Trail will be closed to pedestrians between the CN Bridge and the Red Bridge from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on Wednesday, September 18, Thursday, September 19, and Friday, September 20, to allow City utility crews to complete maintenance on drainage infrastructure in the area. The City asks pedestrians to please obey signage and stay away from this section of the trail while work proceeds.
