Visitors to Kenna Cartwright Park may notice FortisBC crews, equipment and some fenced areas near Prickly Pear Cactus trail between June 7–11.
Crews from FortisBC will be excavating and inspecting two small sections of their natural gas line on utility rights-of-ways within the park. When complete, FortisBC crews will restore each site to its previous condition, using seeds and materials appropriate to the park. This is routine work FortisBC does to ensure its natural gas system continues to operate safely in the community.
All trails will remain open during construction. FortisBC asks visitors to follow the direction of signs and crewmembers working near trails and to watch for any vehicles and equipment that might be crossing or travelling along trails in the park.
