Rocky Mountain Rangers Welcome New Commanding Officer

The Rocky Mountain Rangers invite residents to celebrate with them as they welcome a new Commanding Officer at a formal Change of Command Parade this Saturday, September 15, at 1:00 pm at Riverside Park.

The regiment will show its respect to outgoing Commanding Officer Lieutenant-Colonel Normand J. Dionne as they induct Major Amadeo G. Vecchio to the honourable position.

Lieutenant-Colonel Dionne has held the position of Commanding Officer since November 2014. The highly respected position holds great responsibility and oversees the careers and livelihoods of 126 soldiers in Kamloops and Prince George.

The ceremony will include a formal march of current and former guard members, including several war veterans, and will be followed by a Regimental Association Dinner for regiment members to connect and celebrate.
