Release date:

Over the past year, Kamloops residents have shared their ideas to help shape the City’s first Recreation Master Plan. Now in the draft stage, the Recreation Master Plan is ready to be shared with the community. The Recreation Master Plan is a strategic document that will guide the delivery of recreation services, including facilities, programming, and community partnerships, for the next 10 years.

The City is hosting two open houses in October for residents to review the draft Recreation Master Plan and provide comments.

Wednesday, October 2
7:00–8:30 pm
Sports Centre Lounge, McArthur Island
1665 Island Parkway

Thursday, October 3
7:00–8:30 pm

The finalized Recreation Master Plan will be presented to Council this fall. City staff will use the plan as a strategic document that will guide the provision of recreation services in Kamloops and help inform decision making and resource allocation in the future.

Residents also have the opportunity to review the Recreation Master Plan and provide input online at LetsTalk.Kamloops.ca/RecPlan.
