The City of Kamloops is encouraging residents to download the new pay-by-mobile parking app—Flowbird. Precise ParkLink, which manages many of the City’s parking technology services, has launched Flowbird to replace the Whoosh! app. All user account information, including vehicle and payment details, has been migrated from Whoosh! to Flowbird, but users are required to download the new app and login with their Whoosh! credentials.
Once installed, Flowbird offers the exact same user experience as Whoosh! This intuitive and easy-to-use app allows you to pay for your parking remotely through your mobile phone, tablet, or desktop computer. Simply indicate your location, select your duration, and pay for parking. The system also sends expiry notifications that allow the user to extend time remotely, if extension time is available.
The Whoosh! app will no longer exist starting winter 2020, so users are encouraged to download the new app soon to avoid having to set up a new account with Flowbird. To learn more, visit Kamloops.ca/Flowbird.
