Kamloops Fire Rescue (KFR) is proud to reveal their new logo.
KFR was established on August 7, 1884, and it is the second oldest fire department in BC. Since its inception, KFR members have been proudly serving the community and contributing to the safety and protection of residents and visitors.
The new logo is overlaid upon the Maltese cross (the recognized sign of fire service in North America) and it represents courage and bravery. It also incorporates the City’s crest, which represents KFR’s partners in the city and the community they serve.
“We’re excited to share our new logo, which encompasses our history and dedication to the City of Kamloops, which we are proud to serve,” said Mike Adams, KFR’s Fire Chief.
Visit Kamloops Fire Rescue members this Saturday, May 11, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, at Emergency Services Day. This free event will take place in Aberdeen Mall’s north parking lot and will feature a variety of emergency service partners and partner organizations.
