McGill Road Rehabilitation to Begin

Kamloops, BC - The City of Kamloops has contracted BA Dawson Blacktop to carry out the rehabilitation of McGill Road between Bunker Road and Hillside Drive.

The project includes concrete replacement on the curb, gutters and sidewalks; replacement of catch basins; milling and paving; and pavement marking and signage.

Construction will begin the week of May 22, 2018, with project completion expected by mid-July 2018. The majority of the work will take place during the day from Monday to Friday, with the possibility of some Saturday and evening work. Anticipated hours of work will be 7:00 am ‑ 5:00 pm.

Business and pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the project. Bus stops along McGill may be temporarily relocated – please watch for posted notices.

Please note that on-street parking will be affected. Please watch for parking restrictions during construction. Traffic disruptions can be expected along the construction route. Please obey all traffic control personnel and equipment when in the vicinity of the construction.
