Kamloops Fire Rescue (KFR), your public safety professionals, are continuing their work with the Kamloops Homesafe program.
KFR is focusing on educating residents about how to make their homes and properties FireSmart. Between April 8 and April 29, KFR suppression staff will be performing door-to-door public FireSmart visits in Pineview Valley, Westsyde, and Heffley Creek. The purpose of these visits is to educate residents on the importance of using FireSmart principles to help protect their homes in the event of a wildfire.
This important, innovative program provides valuable fire and life safety information directly to citizens. This is a great opportunity for KFR’s public safety professionals to work directly with members of the community they serve and promote fire and life safety through education and awareness.
KFR encourages all Kamloops residents to be proactive in protecting their home against wildfires.
