Kamloops BC – The City of Kamloops and the Kamloops Blazers Hockey Club are pleased to recognize Norkam Mechanical Group as the new sponsor of the lounge formerly known as Valley First Lounge at Sandman Centre, located at 300 Lorne Street.
Renaming the lounge is a result of a sponsorship agreement between the Kamloops Blazers Hockey Club and Norkam Mechanical Group for in-venue naming rights as part of the facility agreement with the Blazers organization. The new agreement provides the naming rights of the former Valley First Lounge for the next three years.
Norkam Mechanical Group has been an avid supporter of the Kamloops Blazers since 2019 through arena advertising and Blazers events and has been a sponsor of the Kamloops Blazers Hockey School.
“As a hockey player and a hockey fan here in Kamloops since the late 1980s, being involved with this iconic franchise is an amazing opportunity,” said Wes Reusse, owner of Norkam Mechanical Group. “Any time you have a chance to be involved with such a staple in our community, it’s a no brainer. We hope to continue to add to our support of the Kamloops Blazers and our community for many years to come.”
“We are pleased to welcome Norkam Mechanical Group as the title sponsor of the lounge at Sandman Centre,” said Stacy Keen, Account Executive with the Kamloops Blazers Hockey Club. “We look forward to helping Wes and Norkam Mechanical Group build their brand through this partnership.”
The lounge at Sandman Centre is used throughout the year for Kamloops Blazers games, concerts, special events, and public gatherings. Due to COVID-19, the lounge is currently dedicated to meetings of City Council, Council Committees, and the TNRD Board of Directors.
