The 2023 Spring and Summer Activity Guide is now online and features aquatic, recreation, sport, fitness, art, and cultural programs for people of all ages and abilities. Programs within the guide run April through August.
New activities that are offered for the spring and summer include Learn to Fish - Families, Ground and Glow: Women's Wellness Workshop, Root to Rise: A Nature-Based Mental Wellness Program, Postnatal Mom and Baby Yoga, Bhangra/Bollywood dance, and many other activities.
Registration for spring and summer programs, including swim lessons, will be available on Tuesday, March 14, starting online at 6:30 am at Kamloops.ca/Register. Starting at 10:00 am, residents may register by phone at 250-828-3500 or in person at one of the following locations:
• Tournament Capital Centre - 910 McGill Road
• Westsyde Pool and Fitness Centre - 859 Bebek Road
• Kamloops Museum and Archives - 207 Seymour Street
Swim lesson schedules will be available online in advance of registration day at Kamloops.ca/Swim or visit the Tournament Capital Centre or Westsyde Pool and Fitness Centre after March 1 to pick up a physical copy of the swim lesson programming. Residents are reminded that lessons have transitioned to the Lifesaving Society’s Swim for Life® program for 2023. A swim transition guide from Red Cross Swim to the Lifesaving Society’s Swim for Life® program can be found at Kamloops.ca/Swim.
A recreation account is required to register online, by phone, or in person. Residents are reminded to prepare in advance of registration day and set up a recreation account by visiting Kamloops.ca/Recreation or calling 250-828-3500.
Residents are also encouraged to participate in an online survey to provide feedback as to how they use the Activity Guide and participate in programs. Feedback will be used to help with decisions for future programming and distribution. Participants who complete the survey will be entered to win a $100 Downtown Kamloops gift certificate. The survey will be open for input until 4:00 pm on April 15, 2023.
