Kamloops, BC – The City of Kamloops activated its Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) at 8:30 am in response to the Goose Lake Fire reported south of Kamloops, near Jacko Lake. Crews from Kamloops Fire Rescue (KFR) had responded to the fire to support BC Wildfire Service (BCWS).
Out of an abundance of caution, the City proactively activated the EOC and was ready to respond to multiple scenarios had the fire become a concern for the community. The fire did not threaten any homes at any point today. The EOC will stand down at noon today.
BCWS is leading the response and continues to action the fire. KFR continues to support as required.
