Kamloops, BC – With the river levels receding over the past week, the City of Kamloops will reopen the boat launches Friday at Pioneer Park, McArthur Island, and Thompson Drive.
As water levels remain high, the City of Kamloops reminds residents to continue to use caution in and around waterways. Residents are asked to be extra cautious if they are on the river with motorized boats. Idling speeds are recommended as a precautionary measure and to prevent river bank erosion. Additionally, high waters have caused excess debris requiring extra vigilance for all water users.
Civic Operations crews will continue to remove temporary flood protection works as river levels drop.
