Waste Reduction Week

Kamloops, BC - October 16-22, 2017, is Waste Reduction Week in Canada!
Waste Reduction Week is being celebrated across Canada from October 16-22, 2017, and the City of Kamloops is encouraging residents to participate by reducing their household waste. To help residents save money on their utility bills, the City is waiving the $50 exchange fee for the month of October for residents who wish to downsize their garbage containers. Please Note: Due to potential high volumes, delivery of downsized garbage carts may be delayed.

Take advantage of annual savings of up to $135 on your utility bill by downsizing. Garbage containers range in size and price as follows:

120 L (1-4 residents): $85 per year
180 L (4-6 residents): $115 per year

245 L (6-8 residents): $140 per year
360 L (8+ residents): $220 per year
