City of Kamloops and Thompson-Nicola Regional District Enter New Five-Year Agreement for Dispatch Services

Kamloops, BC - Kamloops City Council has authorized a new five-year agreement with the Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) to provide fire dispatch services for the region.

“The City has been providing fire dispatch services to the TNRD since 2001,” says Dan Sutherland, Assistant Chief Support Services for Kamloops Fire Rescue. “This agreement will continue to build on our strong partnership with the TNRD to provide great service to the region and keep these jobs local.”

The agreement went into effect on January 1, 2018 and is expected to provide the City with $1.35 million in revenue over the next five years.
