Kamloops, BC - Due to severe winds expected today and overnight in the Kamloops area the City is advising residents to avoid parks or trails with trees for their own personal safety.

With winds forecasted to gust up to 90km/h this afternoon and evening, we are advising residents to stay clear of the parks system until the winds subside,” says Shawn Cook, the City’s Senior Parks Supervisor.

If residents notice any damaged or fallen trees on City of Kamloops property, please call the City of Kamloops Parks Department at 250-828-3551.
