City Adjusts Operations in Recognition of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

The City of Kamloops is proud to recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Friday, September 30, and will adjust operations to allow staff the opportunity to honour the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities.
 
Most non-essential services will be suspended, and City administration and recreational facilities will be closed in typical statutory holiday fashion. There will be no waste collection on Friday and collection schedules will advance by one day, as per the 2022 collection calendar. Mission Flats Landfill and the City’s yard waste sites will remain open.
