On Monday, February 19, 2024, the 10th Annual Family Day Festival will take place 10:00 am–2:00 pm at the Tournament Capital Centre. The Tournament Capital Centre Fieldhouse will be transformed into a free festival space for families with children of all ages.
Community organizations and businesses will bring a wide range of family-focused activities together in one place. Festival goers will have an opportunity to get creative with arts and crafts, have their faces painted, enjoy live performances, experiment with science, play new sports, and try some musical instruments. Food vendors with delicious offerings will be on site.
In addition to this free family festival, residents can take advantage of toonie skate and swim programs. For only two dollars per person, families are invited to enjoy:
- public skating at Valleyview Arena, 10:00–11:00 am and 11:15 am–12:15 pm
- public swimming at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre, 10:00 am–2:00 pm

Think sustainably and consider alternative transportation to the Tournament Capital Centre. Bring your reusable water bottles and don’t forget to bring your eco bags from home to carry your festival goodies. The Kamloops Food Bank will be at the door to collect non-perishable food items.
