Hillside Drive at Hillside Way
The City has contracted Extreme Excavating Ltd. to carry out pressure-reducing valve (PRV) replacement work at a site just below the intersection of Hillside Place and Hillside Drive on the northeast side of the road. This construction work will periodically impact motorists. Traffic control personnel and signage will be in place during these times. The City asks motorists to please use caution when travelling through the area. Work will begin in mid-October and is expected to wrap up by mid-December. Construction is scheduled to occur Monday through Friday, 7:00 am–5:00 pm.
Valleyview Drive Conduit Installation and Paving to Support Future
Community Power and Telecommunication Needs
The City of Kamloops and BC Hydro have contracted Harrison Industrial Contracting Ltd. to carry out conduit installation and paving between Russet Wynd and Cardinal Drive to support future power and telecommunication infrastructure. At the same time, improvements will be completed by the City at the intersection of Owl Road and Valleyview Drive. During the project, traffic will be alternating single-lane, and traffic control personnel will be in place. Residents and motorists are asked to please obey signage and traffic controllers during this project. The project includes:
- milling and repaving
- trench digging and conduit installation on the south side of Valleyview Drive
Motorists and pedestrians are asked to use extra caution during this work.
Victoria Street West Improvements Project
The Victoria Street West improvements project is underway. Starting near 1st Avenue and scheduled over four stages, construction runs Monday to Friday, 7 am to 5:30 pm, with night and weekend work as required.
