Columbia Corridor Upgrades

June 14 - Summer 2021 | McGill Road to Notre Dame Drive, including Summit Drive from McGill Road to Arrowstone Drive

3rd Avenue Pedestrian Bridge

May 25-Mid-July 2021 | Lansdowne Street to Lorne Street

Maintenance and painting requires a full closure of the pedestrian bridge. Pedestrians are advised to use crossings at 2nd or 1st Avenue. There will be intermittent closures of 3rd Avenue. 

Starting July 12 until approximately July 23, Urban Appeal will be working in the southbound lane on 3rd Avenue between Lansdowne Street and Lorne Street, requiring full closure during the day of this lane to all traffic. The southbound lane will be reopened each night and over the weekend from the Moxie’s/Sandman Hotel access south to Lansdowne Street. The northbound lane will remain open.

Tranquille Road Sanitary Main Upgrade Project

May 11 - Summer 2021 | Tranquille Road - Southill St to 12th St

Construction has resumed on Tranquille Road. Tranquille Road between Singh Street and 12th Street will be closed to traffic aside from local traffic and emergency services. Traffic and transit will be rerouted. View more project and detour information on Letstalk.Kamloops.ca/Tranquille.

Fleetwood Avenue

May 25-September 2021 | Southill Street to Desmond Street

Fleetwood Avenue, between Southill Street and Desmond Avenue, will be closed for the duration of the project, with the exception of local traffic. Driveway access to residents may be temporarily restricted during construction. Residents are advised that off-street parking may not be accessible at times during construction and to plan ahead by moving vehicles to adjacent streets before work commences Monday to Friday. On-street parking is not permitted during working hours on weekdays.

Victoria Street Farmers' Market

Wednesdays through October, 2021 | 5th Avenue - mid block between 4th & 5th Avenue

Please note that the Farmers' Market on Victoria Street will be closing the road from 5th Avenue to the mid-block crosswalk between 4th Avenue and 5th Avenue every Wednesday. Vehicles will still be able to access the TNRD parkade from the 4th Avenue side.
