On Wednesday, May 21, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and several provincial and federal cabinet ministers met with Mayor Ken Christian at City Hall.
The group met to discuss emergency management.
"We talked about lessons learned from our 2017 emergency support services (ESS) experience, including the role of a host community and the importance of cross-cultural awareness during emergencies. We also received a briefing on the upcoming fire season," stated Christian.
The Prime Minister and the cabinet ministers were in town to attend an event for Terry Lake as the acclaimed Liberal Party of Canada candidate for Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo.
