The FireFit Championship is a competition based on firefighting tasks that are commonly performed in emergency situations. The spirit of the FireFit event is to showcase the physical demands of firefighting. Competitors wear full turnout gear, including boots, helmet, gloves, pants, jackets, and high-pressure breathing apparatus, and compete in firefighting tasks, such as stair climb with high-rise pack, hose hoist, descending the tower, forcible entry, 140-foot run, hose advance, and victim rescue.
