The City of Kamloops will be stripping and repaving Schreiner Street, between Edgemount Avenue and Bossert Avenue. We are advising residents in the area that this work is scheduled to begin in April 12, weather dependent, and will encompass the following scope of work:
- replacing water and sanitary castings;
- repaving of asphalt; and
- painting of pedestrian shoulder.
Schreiner Street will be closed for duration of the project, with the exception of local traffic. Please obey all traffic control personnel and equipment when driving in the vicinity of the construction.
Throughout the construction period, vibratory compaction equipment may be in use; therefore, any fragile items should be packaged or protected from damage due to vibration. There may also be noise disruption due to equipment on site.
Garbage collection will not be affected.
School District pickups and dropoffs for Parkcrest Elementary and NorKam Secondary will not be affected.

Hours of Work
Work will begin April 12, depending on weather conditions, and is expected to be complete by May. Construction is scheduled to occur Monday–Saturday, 7:00 am–5:00 pm. Some evening work
may be required.
