Residential recycling and garbage is collected on a weekly basis in five designated collection zones. Effective January 1, 2018, we are updating these collection zones to accommodate growth. As a result of these updates, the time of day at which collection trucks will be in your area may change. To ensure garbage and recycling is collected, residents are reminded that under the City’s Solid Waste and Recyclables Bylaw No.40-59, garbage and recycling carts are to be placed at the curb by 7:00 am on designated collection days.
Garbage collection fees are based on the size of your container.
To change the size of your garbage container, please contact Public Works Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:00 pm.
There is a $50 fee to change the size of your garbage container. New homeowners may exchange their cart size once at no charge, within the first three months of ownership.
