City Invites Feedback
Potential Uses for Ranch Lands
For some years now, the City of Kamloops has envisioned the Tournament Capital Ranch (TCR) lands in Rayleigh (north of Kamloops) as providing opportunity to enhance both agriculture and recreation in Kamloops. The City significantly enhanced the Tournament Capital Ranch lands when it constructed the slopitch and rugby fields on the north end of the property in 2011 as Phase 1 of its development.
The City is considering possible land uses for the remaining Tournament Capital Ranch lands and wants to invite feedback.
Imagine the Possibilities
Multi-Purpose Exhibition Centre
Community input is invited on what a new Kamloops Exhibition Association (KXA) on this piece of land might offer.
Agricultural Production Area
Seeking community input and ideas on what this agricultural production area could become.
Destination Water Park
A developer has shown interest in the area and the City has agreed in principle on a long term lease proposal. What do you think?
Public Trail Along North Thompson With Park/Picnic Area
A park use area would enhance community trails and promote awareness on agricultural initiatives. What amenities should be included?
TCR Lands History
Until 1963 the TCR Lands were owned by the Federal Government and used for military activities. In 2007 the BC Government acquired the lands for the purpose of supporting sport tourism, local recreation and agricultural initiatives.
