HomeFree Partner Committees

There are a number of groups in Kamloops who are actively addressing the issues of poverty, housing and homelessness in our community. The HomeFree Collective communicates with all community partners to ensure information sharing, collaboration and efficient use of resources.

  1. Changing the Face of Poverty
Changing the Face of Poverty is an open community group that gathers to address the issue of poverty in our community. CFP meets the fourth Wednesday of every month at the Kamloops Alliance Church at 233 Fortune Drive.
  2. Social Planning Council
Made up of nine citizens-at-large, ex-officio members from City staff and various social service agencies, the Social Planning Council makes recommendations to the Mayor and City Council on a wide variety of social concerns, planning issues and the development of municipal strategies to meet community social needs.
  3. Life Skills Network
The Life Skills Network is the advisory table of the Life Skills Development Project. It is made up of members representing over 20 local agencies working in the areas of life skills and housing to provide expertise on life skills needs in Kamloops.
