Overview

The Real Estate Division is part of the Development and Engineering Services Department and is responsible for property negotiations on behalf of the City of Kamloops including:

  • Acquisitions of property for the City's operational purposes;
  • Dispositions of surplus City property including surplus roads, lanes, and walkways;
  • Acquisitions of easements and rights-of-way necessary for the protection of the City's infrastructure, as well as the release of those no longer required;
  • Leasing and maintaining the City's rental properties;
  • Ensuring all property transactions are completed in accordance with relevant statutes, regulations and policies; and
  • Coordination of real estate development opportunities on behalf of the City.
