Lions Pride lives here in Kamloops!

Kamloops, B.C. - New season. New look. New and improved Fanfest! The City of Kamloops, in partnership with the BC Lions Football Club, are hosting the 6th Annual BC Lions Fanfest, presented by BC Egg, this upcoming Saturday, June 4th and are inviting fans of all ages to join in on the festivities.

New this year, Fanfest will shift to an evening event capped off with a fireworks display presented by BCLC. Fanfest will kick off at Hillside Stadium at 5:00 pm and the event will run until 9:45 pm. The Lions will be conducting a football clinic from 6:00 pm to 6:45 pm, offering local kids aged 6 - 13 a chance to learn from the pros! The Lions will be in action during their practice from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm, followed by an autograph session ending at 9:30 pm. The evening will end with a bang with a fireworks display. Additionally, The Lions will be participating in interviews throughout the evening. Fans will enjoy a multitude of entertainment, including performances by the Felions (BC Lions Dance Team) and a chance to meet Leo the Lion.

“Fanfest in Kamloops is one of the highlights of our pre-season calendar,” said Jamie Taras, Director of Community Relations for the BC Lions. “We are excited to roll out our new format with fireworks and football. We look forward to seeing you at Fanfest on June 4th.”

Other activities include inflatable games, face painting and more. Make sure to pick up some 2016 Lions gear at the merchandise tent! There will be food available from the Kamloops Lions Paddlewheelers and local food truck Eats Amore with proceeds partial proceeds going to Kamloops Community Football. Fans over the age of 19 can enjoy a ‘cold one’ while experiencing all Fanfest has to offer.
