City of Kamloops Water Distribution System

Kamloops, B.C. - The City of Kamloops will be conducting emergency repairs to the Juniper Water Booster Station. The work will consist of four separate repairs with the second repair to take place Tuesday, March 15th between the hours of 8:00 am until approximately 7:00 pm.
Similar notices will be sent out prior to the start of each of the remaining two repairs.

During the work, water supply to the Valleyview pressure zone will be supplied from the North Shore reservoirs. North Kamloops, Brocklehurst, Westsyde and Valleyview may experience lower than normal water pressure with a possibility of increased turbidity during the work.

The water supply in the above mentioned areas may be discolored due to disturbed deposits in pipes – it is not harmful as the water has been disinfected. Air may also be present in the piping. Running a cold water faucet should eliminate both air and discolored water problems.

Work will affect the roadway so residents of Juniper Ridge travelling on Highland Drive may encounter possible delays due to the construction from March 9th to March 31st.

The City apologizes for any inconvenience.
