City of Kamloops Water Distribution System

Kamloops, B.C. - The City of Kamloops will be conducting upcoming emergency repairs to the Juniper Water Booster Station. In order to proceed with the repairs the City of Kamloops Utility Division will need to install a valve at the Valleyview Reservoir. This work will take place on Wednesday, February 10th between the hours of 8:00 am until approximately 5:00 pm. Water supply to the Valleyview pressure zone will be supplied from the North Shore reservoirs.

North Kamloops, Brocklehurst, Westsyde and Valleyview may experience lower than normal water pressure with a possibility of increased turbidity during this time.

The water may be discoloured due to disturbed deposits in pipes – it is not harmful as the water has been disinfected. Air may also be present in the piping. Running a cold water faucet should eliminate both air and discoloured water problems.

The City apologizes for any inconvenience.
