Parking System Enhancements at the TCC
Kamloops, B.C. -In October 2015, the City installed new Parking Stations at the Tournament Capital Centre using the same system that is used downtown. The City is now rolling out some planned enhancements to improve customer parking experience and parking lot management.
Effective today, parking registration will only be in effect 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. TCC and Hillside Stadium visitors with vehicles parked in the lot during these days and times must register their license plate at a parking station to receive two hours of free parking, or be subject to ticketing and/or towing. Outside of these days and times, TCC and Hillside Stadium visitors are not required to register their license plate in order to park their vehicle in the lot.
The parking stations now feature colour screens which are larger than the originals and it is now easier to navigate through the registration process. And based on popular demand, a second parking station has been relocated to the TCC lobby.
Coming soon, the TCC front desk will be able to electronically process parking-time extension requests for those visitors who will spend more than two hours enjoying the TCC on weekdays between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
Note that TCC and Hillside Stadium visitors with a vehicle displaying a valid disabled parking permit can park for free and do NOT need to register their license plate into a parking station.
