Collection Route Updates

Kamloops, B.C. - To accommodate for continued growth and to maintain an efficient solid waste collection service, the City of Kamloops routinely reviews and updates residential solid waste collection routes within each of the City's five designated collection zones.

The collections zones include Zones 1 through 5 as indicated in the City garbage collection calendar provided to residents each December:

  • Zone 1 (Yellow) - Westsyde, Batchelor Heights, Rayleigh
  • Zone 2 (Blue) - Brocklehurst
  • Zone 3 (Red) - North Shore, Lower Sahali, Downtown (north of Columbia Street)
  • Zone 4 (Orange) - Aberdeen, Pineview Valley, Dufferin, Upper Sahali, Knutsford
  • Zone 5 (Green) - Barnhartvale, Juniper, Rose Hill, Dallas, Valleyview, Downtown (south of Columbia Street)

The most recent update to the City's routing is in Zone 5, effective the week of January 25th.
As a result of these updates to the collection routes, the time of day at which collection trucks will be in your area may change. To ensure your garbage and recycling is collected, residents are reminded to please have garbage and recycling carts to the curb by 7:00 am on their designated collection day.
