Weather Events Result in Evacuation

Kamloops, B.C. – Due to a significant rain event causing localized flooding, RCMP are evacuating residents of the Oak Hills Trailer Park. Approximately 2 - 3 feet of water and debris has collected in this area. The City of Kamloops is establishing an Emergency Reception Centre at Interior Savings Centre Parkside Lounge and is directing all Oak Hills residents to register at this location.

The City of Kamloops has activated its Emergency Operations Centre to a Level Two status as it manages this event. A full complement of Emergency Service personnel and City staff are on scene. Further information will be provided as the City continues to assess the situation. No injuries have been reported.
