Free Disposal ~ Household Hazardous Waste and Electronic Waste

Kamloops, B.C. – This Saturday residents are welcome to dispose of their household hazardous waste and electronic waste for free at the Mission Flats Landfill.

Help the environment by disposing of waste products responsibly. All waste brought to the landfill will be reused, recycled or disposed of in an environmentally safe manner. Located at 3095 Mission Flats Road, the landfill will accept items such as:

  • Aerosol cans
  • Antifreeze brake fluid
  • Batteries (household and car)
  • Cleaning products
  • Gasoline, motor oil and propane
  • Herbicides, pesticides and insecticides
  • Paint
  • Thinners and removers
  • Thermometers and thermostats
  • Computers
  • CDs and CD players
  • Microwaves
  • Televisions
  • And more!

Unacceptable items include:


  • Ammunition and explosives
  • Asbestos
  • Biohazardous waste
  • Commercial or industrial waste

The free disposal takes place between 10:00 and 3:00 pm. This event is very popular and can be quite busy. Please be patient during wait times.
