BC Lions Ready for Training Camp 2015

Kamloops, B.C.– The BC Lions, under new Head Coach Jeff Tedford, return to Kamloops for their 6th consecutive year with rookie camp starting today, May 28th, through Saturday, May 30th. Full camp begins Sunday, May 31st and runs until June 18th.  For a complete list of practice times, visit  

One night practice will be open to the public, on Thursday, June 4th from 6:45 – 8:45 pm.

The club has trained in Kamloops since 2010, utilizing the Tournament Capital Centre, Hillside Stadium, as well as facilities provided by Thompson Rivers University. Last year, a 3 year contract extension was signed, meaning the Lions will be starting their season right here in Kamloops through 2017.

“We are excited and proud to be returning to Kamloops for our sixth consecutive training camp," said Lions president and CEO Dennis Skulsky. "The backdrop of this beautiful city is surpassed only by its warm hospitality and outstanding facilities. We have an eventful three weeks planned and we encourage our many fans in Kamloops and surrounding area to join us as we begin the journey to bringing home a Grey Cup title for Lions fans across the province.”

The City of Kamloops and the BC Lions hold the annual Fanfest event, an opportunity for fans from all around to meet the players and coaching staff.  This year, Fanfest is on Sunday, June 7th from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Hillside Stadium. The Lions will run through a practice / scrimmage (1:30 pm – 3:00 pm) as well as a clinic, provide interviews and autograph opportunities. For the kids there will be face painting, inflatable games, prizes and more.
