Pay By Phone is here!
Kamloops, B.C. – The City of Kamloops is pleased to announce that paying by phone is now available for downtown parking. Beat the heat and avoid the cold at pay stations, and instead pay for parking from the convenience of your vehicle using your phone.
Telepark is a service provider that has been integrated to the City’s parking systems to provide a real time service to pay for parking with your mobile phone. You need only a mobile phone number, email address, a valid credit card and your license plate number in order to complete a quick one-time account registration at www.telepark.com.
Once registered, you can use text or phone in to start and stop your parking. Telepark is available for downtown street parking, as well as in City-owned downtown lots. The system will request you to enter the zone number listed for the parking area to start a parking session. These zone numbers are now displayed on the old meter poles and pay stations downtown or on the signs and pay stations in the City’s parking lots.
First time registration gets you parking quickly with a single vehicle. By returning to www.telepark.com and creating an online profile, users can then access additional features such as:
- Start and Stop parking using Telepark's website, which is optimized for smartphones
- Add additional phone numbers for authorized users of your account
- Add additional license plates and vehicles for family or others
- Change your credit card information
- View your parking history
- View your billing statements
The Telepark service charges an industry standard $0.35 fee for each completed parking session in addition to the City’s parking rates.
