BC Lions Roar into Kamloops

Kamloops, B.C. – The BC Lions set return to the Tournament Capital for their 5th consecutive year, with their rookie camp starting today, Thursday, May 29th. The full camp begins Sunday, June 1st and runs until June 19th, from 9:00 am – 11:30 am and 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm daily.

Two night practices will be open to the public, on Friday, June 6th and Sunday, June 15th, starting at 7:00 pm.

The club has trained in Kamloops since 2010, utilizing the Tournament Capital Centre, Hillside Stadium as well as facilities provided by Thompson Rivers University.

"Kamloops offers a fantastic opportunity for our Training Camp and we're looking forward to another successful start to our season in Kamloops,” commented Neil McEvoy with the BC Lions.

The City of Kamloops and the BC Lions will again hold a Fanfest for the public. Fanfest will take place from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Hillside Stadium on Sunday, June 8th. The Lions will host a practice as well as a clinic, and offer interviews and autograph opportunities. For the kids there will be face painting, inflatable games, prizes and more.
