Council Remuneration Citizen Task Force Hits the Streets

Kamloops, B.C. - Seven members of the public are tasked with gathering public input on annual remuneration amounts for Mayor and Council and want to hear your thoughts. The Council Remuneration Citizen Task Force is taking this issue to the streets this August.

"We wanted to make this process easy for residents," commented Brant Hasanen, Task Force Chair. "Instead of residents attending a forum or input session, we're bringing the Task Force to them. The Task Force will attend several community events over the next few weeks to engage with the public."

The Council Remuneration Task Force will provide a recommendation for City Council's consideration regarding annual remuneration amounts for Mayor and Council in the fall of this year.
