Kamloops, B.C. - Swim BC, Kamloops Classic Swimming, and the City of Kamloops welcome children and youth with a disability to participate in a complimentary pool session with a certified team of swim coaches.
Learning how one's body moves and responds in the water, a swimmer with a disability will find a new freedom that may have never been experienced before. Every swimmer, along with their instructor, will learn about their abilities in the water and with this newfound information they will work together to develop a swimming style that is best suited to the swimmer. Swim BC / Swimming Canada's philosophy on developing a swimmer is very simple and is based on four basic premises. The Four Pillar Approach is: Water Safe, Athlete First, Empowerment and Autonomy, and Improved Lifestyle.
