Dufferin Park Open House and Public Input Session

Kamloops, B.C. - The City of Kamloops is hosting an Open House regarding the future planning and development of City owned parkland on Copperhead Drive, immediately north of Dufferin Elementary School. This Open House will provide the public with an opportunity to contribute to the planning process.

The Open House will be held on Thursday, October 25th, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, in the library at Dufferin Elementary. City staff will be on hand to share ideas and consider input on the future development of this 3.4 hectare green space.

Public input will help City staff formulate concept drawings that will be brought back to the public for final review. The future park is situated in the neighbourhood of Mt. Dufferin and in close proximity to Pineview Valley, areas that have both experienced significant residential development in the past few years. The park will help offset the increased local demand for more green space and compliment the existing facilities at Mt. Dufferin Elementary and the nearby tennis courts on Hillside Drive.

If residents would like to have a say in how this valuable green space is utilized, they are invited to attend this Open House or call 250-828-3750 for more information.

For residents unable to attend the Open House but would still like to provide input please email or fill out a comment form on the Parks, Recreation and Culture section of the City of Kamloops website
