Kamloops, B.C. - Cool off this summer! The City of Kamloops is excited to announce extra ice time made available for Teen Drop-in Hockey in August. With the success of the popular pilot program this past spring the City has opened extra ice time at Brock Arena. Full gear is required for all Drop-in Hockey programs, and Goalies play for free.
Teen Drop-in Hockey - Ages 13 - 15
Fridays, 12:15 to 2:15 pm (August 3rd, 17th, 24th and 31st)
Teen Drop-in Hockey - Ages 16 - 18
Fridays, 8:00 to 10:00 pm (August 3rd, 17th, 24th and 31st)
With fall right around the corner the City is offering a Special Pre-Season Practice Session for Adult Drop-in Hockey on Tuesday, August 7th from 1:15 to 3:15 pm at Brock Arena.
The next free Tim Hortons family skates are: Saturday, July 21st from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and Saturday, August 18th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Brock Arena.
Skating has great aerobic and cardiovascular benefits but does not have the joint impact that other activities such as running or jogging have. Skating also tones muscles, promotes weight loss, increases mental control such as alertness and is terrific for building self-esteem and confidence.
