Canada Day - Free Transit Service

Kamloops, B.C. - On Canada Day residents are invited to ride transit for free. The City of Kamloops and BC Transit are flying the flag and showing their Canadian pride by offering free rides all day long on July 1.

All existing routes will be fare-free, and there will also be free shuttle services offered from the Lansdowne Village transit exchange to Riverside Park.

Canada Day Celebrations will take place at Riverside Park starting at 7:00 am with a pancake breakfast offered by the Valleyview Overlanders Lions Club, and ending with a spectacular fireworks show at 10:30 pm. The Lumière Parade will take place at 10:00 pm, just before the fireworks.

Kamloops Transit will operate with a Saturday level of service on Sunday, July 1, 2012. Please visit for more details.
