The Old Courthouse presents: Celebrating Canada Day and Commemorating Kamloops' Bicentennial

Kamloops, B.C. - The Chamber Musicians of Kamloops Society invites residents to attend a Chamber Music Recital celebrating Canada Day and commemorating the Kamloops Bicentennial at the historic courtroom in the Old Courthouse Cultural Centre on Thursday June 28th at 7:00 pm.

The Kamloops String Quartet consisting of Cvetozar Vutev and Annette Dominik, violins; Sandy Crane, viola; and Martin Kratky, cello; will present the first performance of movements from a new string quartet by Latvian-born, Vernon-based Imant Raminsh and Alexander Borodin's tuneful Second String Quartet.

In addition, the Heritage Piano Quartet of Dimiter Terziev, piano; Cvetozar Vuev, violin; Annette Dominik, viola; and Martin Kratky, cello; will perform a beautiful piano quartet by Mozart and Festive March by the youthful Richard Strauss.

All proceeds will benefit Boogie the Bridge Cultural Fund making arts and culture accessible for children and youth of Kamloops. This concert is part of a ten-concert series presented in celebration of the bicentenary of the founding of Fort Kamloops. The series is sponsored by the City of Kamloops Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department in partnership with the Chamber Musicians of Kamloops Society.

Free parking is available. The building is wheelchair accessible at the rear entrance.
