City seeks public input at Airshed Management Plan Open House

Kamloops, B.C. - All residents are invited to share their thoughts on the development of a new Airshed Management Plan at an Open House on May 8th at the Parkside Lounge at the Interior Savings Centre.

Tuesday, May 8th, 2012
5:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Parkside Lounge, Interior Savings Centre
300 Lorne Street

The Open House provides an opportunity to consider Airshed strategies and actions developed through guidance from advisory and technical committees, as well as a public consultation process over the past several months that has included input from individuals and local organizations.

Residents may drop in anytime between 5:00 and 8:00 pm to review and give feedback on specific items within the draft plan, or to provide input on the plan as a whole. City staff will be on hand to provide information on the process and to answer questions on strategies and actions related to transportation, planning and bylaws, industry and commercial activities, open burning and wood stoves, as well as initiatives that address public education and research around air quality.

Comments generated from the public will be considered in the final plan, which is expected to be presented to City Council in July. If you are unable to attend the Open House and wish to provide feedback, please visit or email
