Kamloops, B.C. - Beginning today, the new Kamloops Fire Rescue station #7 will be operational and able to respond to calls. The station will accommodate four full time firefighting staff and has the capability to be used as a backup dispatch centre to the main dispatch centre in station #1.
Portions of the station are still under construction; therefore, tours of the station will not be available to the media or public at this time. An official grand opening is currently being planned for the end of May in which the media and public will be invited to attend and tour the facility.
