Kamloops, B.C. - Mayor and Council are pleased to announce David Trawin has been selected as the City of Kamloops' new Chief Administrative Officer. Mr. Trawin currently holds the position of Director, Development & Engineering Services at the City of Kamloops. He has been with the City in this capacity for the past eight and half years, developing strong ties with the business community and social agencies.

Mayor Peter Milobar stated, "The selection process for the new CAO was tough. We had very strong internal and external candidates. In the end, Council ratified the final decision with a unanimous vote. We are excited about the transition and look forward to David Trawin assuming his new role."

Trawin's move from Development & Engineering Services will allow a smooth transition into the Chief Administrative Officer position leading up to current CAO Randy Diehl's retirement on May 1, 2012.
